Matt Rife Under Fire — Comedy Gone Wrong

(RightWing.org) – Comedians are notorious for stirring up controversy. For example, ABC canceled “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher” after he called the US military cowards shortly after the 9/11 attacks. The news media scorched David Chappelle after he mocked members of the LGBTQ+ community during a streaming special. Rising comedian Matt Rife recently came under fire after he reportedly made inappropriate remarks online to a child for criticizing his latest online comedy program.

On December 10, social media influencer Bunny Hedaya posted a two-and-a-half-minute clip on her TikTok account blasting Rife. She told her 2.3 million fans that the would-be comedian decided to pick on her six-year-old child online.

Hedaya said the clash started after TikTok users posted clips from Rife’s recent Netflix special, “Natural Selection,” including one showing the comedian claiming that Jupiter has a ring. She explained that people started tagging her in those types of posts because everyone knows her son is a genius and loves outer space.

The wildly popular TikTok star posted a short response from her son advising that “Actually, it’s Saturn that has the rings,” adding that “It has more also.” He concluded his remarks by accusing Rife of being “mean to girls.”

Hedaya said the post received positive feedback from her fans, who posted comments praising her son’s brilliance. She told her fans that she posted the clip on her Instagram account and didn’t tag Rife in it.

A quick review of Hedaya’s post showed that it has received more than 142,000 likes as of December 14. In the post’s caption, she asked her fans if they were more intelligent than a child.

Rife apparently discovered the post and derided the six-year-old in a since-deleted post on his Instagram account. Rife reportedly lashed out at the child, telling him that Santa Claus wasn’t real. He also wrote, “Your mom buys you presents,” using money she earns on OnlyFans, an online adult content subscription service.

Hedaya responded to Rife’s attack during the remainder of her post. She told him that some people like women for their personalities, adding, “We know you don’t have one.” She concluded by wishing the comedian “good luck on what’s left of your career” and warning him to keep her child’s name out of his mouth, “or we can do part two.”
