(RightWing.org) – Right now the world’s attention is on Gaza, where Israel is attempting to destroy the Hamas terrorists who recently massacred over 1,300 of its citizens. Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood is trying to take advantage of the crisis for its own ends. It’s exploiting the bombing of Gaza as an excuse for a fundraiser.
On October 7, Hamas terrorists broke through Israel’s border and launched a massacre of civilians; well over 100 Israelis are now being held hostage in the Gaza Strip. Israel is now bombing Hamas targets there as it gears up for a ground invasion. Unfortunately, civilian buildings are also being destroyed, because Hamas uses them to conceal its headquarters and rocket launchers.
On October 9, the International Planned Parenthood Foundation (IPPF), an offshoot of Planned Parenthood that operates globally, reported that its clinic in Gaza had been destroyed by an Israeli airstrike the day before. So far there’s no indication why the building was targeted, but IPPF hasn’t wasted any time trying to find out; instead, they’ve rushed to launch a fundraising effort.
On October 10, IPPF posted a request for “emergency gifts” on X (formerly Twitter), claiming the airstrike had left an “extremely vulnerable population” with less access to reproductive healthcare. In fact, considering half of Gaza’s population is under 18 years old, it doesn’t seem that Palestinians are all that interested in reproductive healthcare; they seem much more interested in reproduction.
Abortion — Planned Parenthood’s main activity — isn’t even legal in Gaza unless it’s to save the life of the mother, and even then it needs to be signed off by two doctors. IPPF says it’s still working to provide care in Gaza, even without its clinic, and now they’re looking for money to rebuild it. However, it seems unlikely that getting a new abortion clinic is a priority for Gazans right now.
