(RightWing.org) – Radical congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) loves media attention – but does she enjoy being the subject of jokes? She’s finding out this week after using a ridiculous woke term in an interview.
On September 7, AOC appeared on CNN to rant about the new Texas abortion law. She told host Anderson Cooper the law isn’t about protecting lives; instead, she claimed, it’s about controlling women’s bodies. And then she put her foot in it.
Everyone knew what AOC meant when she said “women,” but for some reason, she decided to throw a cookie to the woke brigade and added “any menstruating person.” That immediately attracted a storm of ridicule on social media. Radio host Dana Loesch pointed out AOC’s hypocrisy in calling the law an attack on women, then immediately making an attack on women herself.

Unfortunately for her, identity politics – specifically trans-activism – is starting to tear the Left apart. Feminists have traditionally been Liberal, but many feminists are alarmed at the trans agenda. Her “menstruating person” comment is going to upset a lot of them. The problem for people like AOC is that the modern Left is a coalition of groups having almost nothing in common, and the coalition is starting to fall apart.
