(RightWing.org) – An unexpected development happened in the White House recently. Andrew Peek, a senior National Security Council (NSC) official who oversees Russia and Europe, has just been put on indefinite administrative leave. This change was abrupt and unexpected.

Peek himself didn’t respond to requests to comment. Another NSC official said that they don’t discuss personal matters. Now that Peek is absent from his post, his position, which is responsible for fighting against Russian aggression, remains unfilled.
Could Peek have been compromised by the Russians?
Peek has a lengthy background in affairs with the Middle East. Before taking up this role in the NSC, he oversaw Iranian and Iraqi affairs in the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. He’s also a former US Army intelligence officer who worked with the Senate prior to joining the Trump administration.
