(RightWing.org) – China’s human rights abuses are as extensive as they are brutal. Their treatment of Uighurs in their country is particularly disgusting. Now the US government is taking action.
On July 9, the Treasury Department announced it issued sanctions against the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau and four Chinese Communist Party officials for human rights abuses against ethnic minorities, including the Uighur Muslims.

The Chinese government has placed more than one million Uighurs in internment camps. They’ve also reduced the birth rates of the group by forced sterilization, abortion and other methods. The communists wiped out sacred burial sites for the Muslim minority group and some are saying officials are committing genocide. The move by the Treasury Department is a significant first step toward trying to stop the abuse.
