When the House voted on the articles of impeachment against President Trump, only one Representative consistently voted “present”: Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI).
When questioned on her reasoning behind the vote, Gabbard revealed that she has more respect for the process of democracy than her fellow Democrats. She clarified her position in a statement:
“I am standing in the center and have decided to vote Present. I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing. I also could not in good conscience vote for impeachment because removal of a sitting President must not be the culmination of a partisan process, fueled by tribal animosities that have so gravely divided our country.”

Even though Gabbard bought into the false charges laid against Trump, she might be the only leftist who cares about our democratic institutions. For that, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) went on the offensive for not bowing to the party line.
“Today was very consequential, and to not take a stand one way or another, on a day of such great consequence to this country, I think is quite difficult. We are sent here to lead… Whenever we have a vote, we should vote ‘yes’ and we should vote ‘no.’ Voting ‘present’ is a very tough position to be in. To not take a stand in a moment that is so consequential, I think it’s quite difficult.”

Outside of working in a bar, when exactly has AOC been in a tough position?
Tulsi Gabbard served two tours of duty in the Middle East.
The only thing @AOC has served are drinks behind the bar.
The credentials have been established and they are not on your side Ms. Ocasio-Cortez! https://t.co/DmE9vDTQrP

Their credentials speak for themselves, even if Gabbard is being misled by dishonest Dems.
