(RightWing.org) – Over Memorial Day weekend, President Donald Trump put his patriotism on display. He hosted two ceremonies to honor the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for America.
First, he visited Arlington National Cemetery, where he silently touched the wreath placed in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and saluted. His next stop was Fort McHenry where he gave a great speech, and talked about the history of the national anthem.

Fort McHenry is where the poem that would become “The Star-Spangled Banner” was written.
Also during his speech, Trump stated there’s no threat that “is a match for the sheer determination of the American people.” He was, of course, in addition to our strong national defense, referring to our fight against the coronavirus and promised that the virus would be vanquished.
Overall, it’s great to see the president out in the open in spite of the virus and paying respects on Memorial Day to the very people who keep us safe every day of our lives.
