Before this week’s impeachment proceedings began, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) proposed a new addition to the witch hunt docket. Here’s the backstory.
Last week, Marie Yovanovitch, former US Ambassador to Ukraine, testified on the House floor. During her allotted time, Trump took to Twitter to show Americans where Marie went wrong during her time as an ambassador. That’s when Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) took action.
Shifty Schiff took time out of a televised witch hunt to inform Marie that the president was tweeting about her. It’s no secret that Trump is an avid Twitter user, but that didn’t stop Schiff from making a mountain out of a molehill. Schiff did everything that he could to spin the president’s run-of-the-mill activity into something more condemning.
Below is the tweet in question.
Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad. She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors.

Somehow, Murphy thinks that Trump’s tweet is also impeachable. Of course, he only believes this because Schiff deliberately took the time to blow Trump’s statement out of proportion. Maybe Schiff will find another round of tweets to take out of context and draw unneeded attention to this week. Heaven knows the impeachment inquiry needs the distraction!
