Trump Tells American Patriots To Deploy And Protest Nationwide

( – Former President Donald Trump left office over two years ago, but he still has a lot of support in the Republican Party. Despite his ongoing legal woes, he is the frontrunner to secure the GOP nomination for the 2024 presidential election. The former president is not letting anything get in his way, and he recently put out a call to action to his supporters on his social media site, Truth Social.

The Legal Woes

Trump is currently facing dozens of state and federal charges in relation to alleged hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels and classified documents, respectively. He has pleaded not guilty to the 71 total felony counts. However, more could be coming as he is also currently still under investigation in Georgia to determine whether he broke any laws in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election and federally to determine if he is liable in the January 6 Capitol riots. It’s not clear when or if authorities will announce charges in those two probes.

Recent polls indicate that these legal woes have had little if any, impact on his presidential campaign. Surveys carried out in June show that if the Republican primary were held today, he would likely beat out his closest rival, GOP Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, by an average margin of at least 30 percentage points.

Trump’s Call to Action

In a Truth Social post on July 5 — in a message written in all caps — Trump once again pointed to “massive prosecutorial misconduct” and said the “weaponization of law enforcement cannot be allowed to happen.” He laments the state of the nation and its leader, President Joe Biden, then asks his followers if Americans “even have a choice but to protest” the country’s “potential doom.” He ends the message by saying, “2024!!!” alluding to the fact that he plans to win the next presidential election, which is looking more and more like a rematch of 2020.

This isn’t the first time that Trump has recently called for his supporters to protest on his behalf. According to a report in The New York Times, he spoke about his possible upcoming arrest and called for his followers on Truth Social to “Protest” and “take our nation back!” A spokesman for Trump’s campaign walked back the comments and said he was just speaking out about “his innocence and the weaponization of [the nation’s] injustice system.”

To date, there have been a few small protests in Trump’s honor, most recently when he was indicted on federal charges.
