(RightWing.org) – President Trump brushed off comments by former Secretary of State Colin Powell on Sunday, saying the retired general’s words to CNN were “pathetic.” Powell, who served during President George W. Bush’s first term, but was sacked in 2004, told CNN News he’s close to Joe Biden politically and plans to vote for him in November, but won’t be actively campaigning for him.
Colin Powell was a pathetic interview today on Fake News CNN. In his time, he was weak & gave away everything to everybody – so bad for the USA. Also got the “weapons of mass destruction” totally wrong, and you know what that mistake cost us? Sad! Only negative questions asked.

Dismissing the defection, Trump Tweeted a blunt put-down of Powell and added a reminder of his role in starting the Iraq war by inaccurately claiming Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
Powell is one of a handful of senior Republicans who’ve openly broken with the current administration. Others include GW Bush himself and former presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
However, Trump remains bullish, with campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh saying the GOP is united and support for the president among Republicans is higher than ever.
