(RightWing.org) – President Trump says he could hold his election night party at the White House, instead of his Washington, DC hotel. Talking to reporters outside the executive mansion as he departed for another round of campaign rallies, the president blamed DC’s coronavirus lockdown for the change in plans.

DC has banned gatherings of more than 50 people, a rule that would affect any party at Trump’s hotel. The White House is federal property, however, and isn’t affected by the District’s “crazy” lockdown rules. Eric Trump, the president’s son, confirmed today that the White House is now a likely venue.
Security is another reason to hold the event in the White House. While the White House has been plagued by far-left protesters since the summer, Trump’s hotel has also been targeted — and the White House is, according to a senior presidential adviser, “more of a fortress.” With mass protests expected on election night, that’s another good reason for the president and his family to stay there.
