(RightWing.org) – Many political observers predict a red wave, perhaps even a tsunami, in the US House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections. Equally important are upcoming gubernatorial elections, three in particular.
Recent reports discussed the importance of the election of governors in several states, including Arizona, Florida, and Texas.

Arizona’s Republican Gov. Doug Ducey can’t run again due to term limits, and so far, six GOP candidates have filed to replace him on the ticket during the August 2022 primary.
A traditionally Conservative state, Arizona Republicans remain bitterly locked into two factions, one supporting claims of election fraud during the 2020 presidential election and those opposed to ongoing efforts to dispute the results.
Similarly, political observers should pay attention to Georgia after the recent and unexpected loss of its two US Senate seats to Democratic challengers during the January 2021 recall elections. Like Arizona, state Republicans remain divided about the results of the 2020 presidential election and also have varying takes on the 2021 Senate losses.
Florida’s upcoming election could prove to be a strong indicator of the future for a couple of reasons. First, Republican incumbent Ron DeSantis’ no-nonsense approach to fighting back against coronavirus-related mandates will effectively be on the ballot. Second, a DeSantis victory could serve as a springboard for a 2024 bid for the Republican nomination, particularly should former President Donald Trump choose not to run.
We will keep you updated on candidates and their respective campaigns throughout 2022.
