(RightWing.org) – The Supreme Court has brought forward a deadline for Pennsylvania state officials to respond to an election challenge, reopening a window of opportunity that looked to have been closed by the looming “Safe Harbor” date. It’s a narrow window, but it’s there — and the president’s team is determined to use it.
#SupremeCourt Justice Samuel Alito asked officials in #Pennsylvania to file briefs by Tuesday at 9 a.m. in response to a lawsuit filed by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) in a bid to overturn the state’s #Election results.https://t.co/2eHE2ftJnX pic.twitter.com/gN42vdqgBe

Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) is challenging changes to the state’s electoral law, which were rammed through by statute on October 31 — just three days before the election. Kelly is arguing that the changes, which stripped away safeguards on mail-in ballots, were illegally enacted and violate the state’s constitution. Liberal judges have been trying to run out the clock on the challenge by delaying it until the December 8 Safe Harbor deadline, when certified election results become immune to further challenges. Now Justice Samuel Alito has ordered state officials to give Kelly an answer by 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, which leaves open the option of discounting the illegal ballots — and handing the state to Trump.
