(RightWing.org) – Although politics isn’t specifically a popularity contest, it’s useful to know where politicians stand in the eyes of their constituents. We should elect the leaders that will accurately represent the citizens who voted them into power. It’s not meant to operate as a sort of high school popularity contest.
Unfortunately, that might be the future of politics.
A new batch of data from the Morning Consult reveals the most and least popular Senators going into 2020. The results should shock you.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) is ranked as the most popular Senator in the country. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), another DNC presidential nominee, also made it into the top 10. Only four Republicans made it into the top rankings while eight Republicans are among the least popular. Somehow, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the list of least popular Senators.
Why are Republicans being lambasted when it comes to popularity? It’s because, at least in part, the MSM constantly smears the GOP, the party that wants to keep America great. Instead, they trade our greatness for a quick buck when someone like Sanders offers a boatload of “free” stuff for Americans.
Hopefully, by the 2020 elections, even more Americans will wake up and realize that winning a high school popularity contest by appealing to socialist tendencies will only lead to disaster.
