(RightWing.org) – Joe Biden has selected 71 nominees so far to fill key administration roles. All cabinet-level positions have been filled, including Biden’s highly controversial pick for Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services.
On Wednesday, March 24, the Senate confirmed transgender pediatrician Dr. Rachel Levine’s nomination to fill that post. Her professional qualifications seem in order. She is a board-certified pediatrician who served as the head of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health for several years. However, her outspoken support for the rights of transgender children, sometimes without parental consent, raises many concerns.
A new study has found that #Transgender youth with access to a puberty blocker have decline in chances of suicide + #mentalhealth problems now and in the future. This study is important because it's the first to show this specific association. https://t.co/axYncR0m4l

For instance, she has openly advocated sex-change procedures for prepubertal individuals. She has supported the use of puberty-blocking drugs on minor children, advising adults not to try to “force [children] one way or the other.”
Countless qualified people could have taken over as Assistant Secretary of Health. How is it possible that an individual with such controversial views not only got confirmed by the Senate but did so with the support of two Republicans? More importantly, what’s the expected outcome for children taking her advice?
