(RightWing.org) – Earlier this month, the Department of Justice (DOJ) scheduled the first federal executions in nearly 20 years. Four child murderers are going to be put to death over the next two months. Now, the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) is allowing the sentences to move forward.
On June 29, SCOTUS refused to hear a case challenging the federal government’s execution protocol. The Trump Administration will use one drug to execute the convicted killers. Inmates challenged the new method, claiming the Federal Death Penalty Act (FDPA) requires the states where the crimes occurred to choose the procedure.
The high court’s decision means the executions will move forward.

The first execution is set to take place on July 13. Two more will occur in the days after it and the final one in August.
