(RightWing.org) – New revelations about Hunter Biden’s business career have infuriated Conservatives. Even worse, the Justice Department (DOJ) seems to be actively protecting the president and his son. House Republicans are now looking at drastic action to bring the DOJ under control.
Someone is lying. If we find it is Biden's Attorney General, Merrick Garland, we will start an impeachment inquiry.

In late June, the House Ways and Means Committee released a report on interviews with two whistleblowers who claimed US Attorney David Weiss, the special counsel leading the investigation into Hunter Biden, said he wasn’t authorized to charge Hunter with his alleged crimes. The whistleblowers — one of whom is a former IRS investigator — say Weiss told them those decisions were made by Attorney General Merrick Garland. They also claim Garland blocked Weiss from bringing more serious charges against Hunter.
That’s a problem because while Garland has admitted that any charges against Hunter would need his personal authorization, he has also claimed he didn’t interfere with the investigation. If the information from the whistleblowers is correct, the AG wasn’t telling the truth about the interference. Now House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is threatening to impeach the AG if the allegations are proven.
If McCarthy goes ahead with the impeachment process, he’ll find support. Several GOP lawmakers have already said they would be behind the move. Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), a senior member of the Ways and Means Committee, warned that “It’s not an empty threat” and said Congress can’t ignore “the culture of corruption” that’s emerged from the Hunter Biden investigation. Representative Harriet Hageman (R-WY) said it’s clear there’s a “two-tiered system of justice” in the US and added that she fully supports McCarthy.
With the Republicans holding a ten-seat majority in the House, they have the numbers to get the impeachment process underway. Whether they could actually succeed in dethroning Garland is a different story, but the fact it’s even being considered shows how concerned conservatives are about Biden’s weaponization of the justice system.
