(RightWing.org) – The United States and other Western countries have battled with China for decades regarding their lack of concern for environmental programs. President Donald Trump announced he was pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord on June 1, 2017, citing the economic burdens American workers would face. The president also noted the unfair advantages China would enjoy from American participation in the agreement.
The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF), an international climate think-tank, announced a new climate policy report in a December 11 press release. That report, titled “The Red and the Green: China’s Useful Idiots,” stated that China’s communist leaders manipulate Western environmental groups.

In short, Chinese officials, according to the report, influence those green groups using funds from professional grant writing groups like the US-based Energy Foundation China. Additionally, environmental groups are restricted from operating in China unless they echo government-led propaganda efforts.
It’s bad enough these environmental groups bow down to Chinese pressure, effectively becoming mouthpieces for the government. However, they are also turning a blind eye to China’s increased expansion of the use of coal and other fossil fuels. Thankfully, groups like the GWPF continue investigating and illuminating Chinese efforts to fool the world.
