(RightWing.org) – Kentucky’s Republican Senator Rand Paul, M.D., is one of the country’s leading advocates for constitutional liberties. He’s gone toe-to-toe with Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, for his role in the government funding of gain of function research in Wuhan, China. Most recently, he set his sights on Governor Andy Beshear (D-KY) for allowing gender surgery on youth in his state.
On September 5, Paul sat down for an in-depth interview with Fox News host Jesse Waters about child sex change operations and how those procedures are being carried out in secret. The senator stressed that so-called gender-affirming care took a “terrible, terrible approach” to treating “psychiatric illnesses.”

Paul advised viewers that a heated debate has engulfed Kentucky’s upcoming gubernatorial race. He explained that Beshear had distanced himself from the controversy surrounding trans surgeries on children by claiming he didn’t support the procedure, adding that it “doesn’t really happen in Kentucky.”
However, Paul pointed out that a recent letter from the University of Kentucky confirmed that it performed surgical procedures on children, a reference to a March 2 letter to a Kentucky state legislator admitting one of its clinics provided “non-genital gender reassignment surgeries” like mastectomies on children.
Continuing, Paul told viewers that the Democratic governor and his leftist accomplices were “running [around] with their hair on fire” in the wake of the letter’s disturbing revelations. He blasted Beshear for lying about the reality of the situation, warning that the governor’s stance presented a severe threat to children. “There are [underlying] psychiatric illnesses and comorbidities” that health officials need to address. However, instead of doing their jobs, they “cut off” part of a child’s body and tell them, “You’ll get better.”
Paul ended that portion of the interview by warning viewers that those surgical procedures don’t work. He declared that they are a form of “mutilation,” adding that they deprived children of future opportunities as adults.
