The president announced the positive test results at approximately 1:00 am on Friday, October 2. The president is tested daily. According to media speculation, he may have contracted the virus from senior aide Hope Hicks. Hicks traveled with Trump to the Tuesday presidential debate in Cleveland, OH, and a campaign rally in Duluth, MN, on Wednesday.
White House Commander Sean Conley forwarded an official letter to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Dr. Conley said the president would continue to work in the White House while he and the First Lady recover. McEnany tweeted that America is united, strong and that the president will continue to put the People first.
