President Travels to Strict Lockdown State

( – In a show of solidarity among swing-state voters, President Donald Trump paid a special visit to Pennsylvania. He recognized the frustrations of people wanting to get back to work in spite of the shutdown orders issued by Governor Tom Wolf (D). He tweeted on Monday morning, May 11, “The great people of Pennsylvania want their freedom now, and they are fully aware of what that entails.”

Trump also toured and spoke at Owens & Minor Inc., a healthcare logistics company that specializes in procuring and supplying medical equipment to point-of-care providers. They have been very involved in procuring personal protective equipment (PPE) and general medical equipment.

Trump told the workers attending the speech that they’re “truly the best” and are making America proud. He emphasized the importance of replenishing the national stockpile of medical equipment and announced his initiative to do just that with the help of Owens & Minor employees. The current mobilization of the workforce in response to the crisis is, in the president’s opinion, the best it’s been since World War II.

The company, through their Halyard Health division, will be making 20 million N95 masks a month, according to Trump, and will also pump out higher quantities of other medical supplies. He emphasized “Buy American and hire American” if we’re to keep the US strong as we work through this pandemic. Trump has been actively working to drastically reduce or eliminate our reliance on Chinese goods ever since they dropped the ball responding to the outbreak.

It’s encouraging in-person rallies like these that show how much Trump cares about the people.
