(RightWing.org) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) publicly bumped heads with acting Homeland Security Chief Chad Wolf on Sunday, after she made what Wolf calls “grossly inaccurate and irresponsible” claims about the administration’s travel ban.
On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that restrictions on travel to the US from high-risk countries, which was launched against seven countries last year, will be expanded to cover six more. The affected nations are Burma, Eritrea, Sudan, Nigeria, Kyrgyzstan and Tanzania. Pelosi criticized the expansion, claiming it would prevent 350 million people from being able to visit the US.
Wolf angrily demolished Pelosi’s claims, pointing out the restrictions in four countries only apply to people who want to work in or move to the US permanently, leaving visitors unaffected.
Facts are stubborn. The new travel restrictions do not apply to 350 million people – as some of our critics would lead you to believe. Such statements are grossly inaccurate and irresponsible. https://t.co/YY7YfONvnc

For Sudan and Tanzania, the rules are even lighter, and only affect diversity visas stemming from the diversity lottery program. So, despite Pelosi’s bold claims, only a few thousand people are actually affected.
