(RightWing.org) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) wasn’t able to get her wish list of liberal policies passed in the most recent stimulus bill. She might be trying to use stimulus bill number four as cover for her own agenda, but people are onto her. That could explain the reason why Pelosi created a bipartisan committee to oversee the formulation of the newest $2 trillion economic stimulus package.
Speaker Pelosi announces new House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, chaired by Rep. Clyburn. Question: How much of its activities will be legitimate oversight of $2T in spending, and how much will be extension of House Dems' get-Trump campaign? https://t.co/GOMf1EZi9W pic.twitter.com/T8uQTHkgc9

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) has been appointed to head this committee.
Pelosi stressed that the process of overseeing the bill must be transparent and accountable. With that said, the committee will have subpoena powers in order to protect the bill from being wasteful or fraudulent in nature or subject to abuse for political gain.
The House Speaker said that the committee will ensure funds allocated towards the coronavirus response “are spent wisely and effectively.” How is trying to get pieces of the Green New Deal and other policies liberals couldn’t pass into another stimulus bill “wise?” Hopefully, the new committee will do its job keeping that kind of wasteful spending out of the bill.
