(RightWing.org) – Progressive firebrand Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has an odd working relationship with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). At times, she sides with him, like when the two of them sent out a joint letter lashing out at Apple for removing a Hong Kong app from its store used by protesters there.
However, most recently, Ocasio-Cortez sparred with Cruz on Twitter on November 23 about the contentious stalemate over a new economic stimulus package to offset the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, tweeted her concern that Americans were going hungry, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) dismissed the Senate for Thanksgiving. Cruz responded by asking her why Democrats continued filibustering the GOP’s COVID-19 relief package with the support of Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden.
Why is your party filibustering $500 billion in COVID relief?
And Joe Biden is cheering them on. Thinking that blocking relief somehow helps Dems win Georgia. https://t.co/b8PvuUpSa3

The pair sparred again about seven hours later, arguing about filibusters, with Cruz renewing his accusation that Biden wanted Democrats to block a relief package to gain an advantage in the upcoming runoff elections in Georgia next year for two US Senate seats.
.@AOC seems not to know there are Democrats in the Senate.
Or that Joe Biden (also a Dem) is publicly calling on Senate Dems to continue filibustering COVID relief because he thinks it will help them win Georgia. https://t.co/vy5HG3h2qr

It’s been said that all’s fair in politics. However, Americans would benefit if AOC and Cruz could focus their attention on solving problems instead of bickering online.
