(RightWing.org) – Many Democrats will be hoping for a Biden presidency so they can go back to trying to disarm the American people – but, increasingly, those people are turning away from the whole idea of gun control. With gun sales at record highs, it seems the anti-Second Amendment campaign is running out of steam.
A Gallup poll released on November 16 shows that support for more gun control is at its lowest in four years, and down 7% from the same time last year. There’s also been a rise in the number of people who want less strict gun laws.
Attitudes regarding gun control have become a highly partisan issue, with almost 80% of Republicans opposed to tougher laws while 85% of Democrats support them. Opposition to gun control is also higher among men, in rural areas, and the Midwest and South.
The current 22% of Republicans favoring stricter laws for gun sales is the lowest for the group over the past 20 years; the percentages of Democrats and independents calling for more gun control are near the highest recorded since 2000 (Gallup) Details: https://t.co/OtAlk4bLXU pic.twitter.com/FnUcFef5k9

Gallup’s analysts think several factors account for the increase in 2A support: The decline in high-profile shootings, civil unrest caused by far-left rioters, and the coronavirus epidemic.
Whatever the reason, this is good news for 2A supporters.
