(RightWing.org) – Two main theories prevail regarding the origins of the COVID-19 virus in the absence of a credible unrestricted investigation. One school of thought says the coronavirus initially spread from animals to humans. The other theorizes scientists engineered the deadly disease, and it somehow escaped from a laboratory. A new report indicates the latter theory may be correct.
Dr. Alina Chan, Ph.D., recently testified before the House of Commons Committee on Science and Technology in the UK about the origins of COVID-19. According to her, it’s crucial to investigate whether scientists modified the virus in a lab setting. Asked about the likelihood the pandemic began as the result of a laboratory leak, she responded the probability of the virus originating naturally was slim at this point.

This claim might appear stunning at first glance, considering Dr. Anthony Fauci’s insistence the pandemic occurred naturally. However, Dr. Chan has the credentials to lend credence to her claim.
Chan received her doctorate from the University of British Columbia and currently works as a postdoctoral associate specializing in cellular engineering and gene therapy at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, a major research organization.
Why I lean towards a lab #OriginOfCovid
1. The bulk of circumstantial evidence points towards an accidental research-related emergence of SARS2 in Wuhan.
2. A natural origin has been investigated more thoroughly than a lab origin, yet no dispositive evidence has been found. https://t.co/HUOB0NTAzj

If Chan’s theory proves correct, her information could blow the lid off China’s long-standing denial of involvement in the development of COVID-19. It also raises the possibility of future action against Dr. Fauci for his alleged role in funding gain-of-function research in China.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) already made a criminal referral to the Justice Department regarding Fauci in July.
