New Court Documents Reveal Web of Lies Made to Hurt Donald Trump

(RightWing.org) – Allegations surrounding the involvement of Russia in 2016 presidential election dogged President Trump throughout his term. Those contentions proved to be completely false. Now, new court documents, part of the Durham investigation into the origins of those accusations, have exposed something far more sinister than a false assumption.

In 2019, Former Attorney General William Barr launched an investigation into the origins of the FBI’s probe into allegations Trump campaign members interacted with Russian officials. Barr assigned US Attorney John Durham to head up the inquiry and appointed him as special counsel. Durham filed an indictment against Ukrainian-born Russian operative Igor Danchenko on November 3, revealing a connection to a former Clinton operative and a portion of the Steele Dossier.

The 39-page indictment revealed Charles Dolan, Jr. purposely reported fictitious information to Steele. Although court documents don’t cite Dolan by name, The Washington Post quickly identified him as “PR-Executive 1.” Dolan’s attorney later confirmed that claim. Dolan, now 71, worked for both Bill and Hillary Clinton’s campaigns. He also served on an advisory board during the Clinton administration.

According to the Danchenko indictment, Dolan served as the primary source for the section of Steele’s dossier that analyzed events surrounding the resignation of Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, in August 2016.

Although mainstream media outlets are reporting on the indictment and Dolan’s role in the Steele Dossier, they don’t appear to have the same enthusiasm as when they reported on the initial allegations against the Trump campaign. Where’s the outrage at being lied to? Why the near silence?
