(RightWing.org) – In February, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) downplayed the coronavirus. And now she’s angry at people who got sick from the virus for not “wearing masks.”
According to The Hill, Pelosi attacked an infected lawmaker, saying “she’s sorry” he’s sick while at the same time blaming him for not wearing a mask. The speaker’s comments are a complete reversal from what she said earlier this year. They also show just how unreliable she is during this pandemic.
Pelosi Blames Infected People Despite Past Remarks
Let’s go back in time a few months to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Americans were learning the virus came from China and they were frightened — rightfully so. Instead of looking for solutions to slow the spread of the coronavirus, Pelosi held a press conference assuring people it was totally safe to visit Chinatown in San Francisco and attacking the president.
If you have never been to Chinatown, it is a beautiful place, but it’s also very crowded. Not exactly where you’d want to hang out when there’s an infectious disease spreading.
Now, just a few months later, Pelosi is attacking a sick lawmaker, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) after he tested positive for COVID-19. The speaker blamed him for his illness and then implied he may have infected other lawmakers.
“Im so sorry for him,” @SpeakerPelosi tells me of reports @replouiegohmert tested positive for COVID. “But I’m also sorry my members, who are concerned, because he has been showing up at meetings without a mask and making a thing of it.”

Perhaps Gohmert should have taken a quick, super-safe trip to Chinatown instead. Then it would have been okay because it was a Pelosi-approved activity. Once again, the speaker’s hypocrisy is showing, and it’s not pretty.
