MSM Ignores Slaughter of Christians

Recent history has made it abundantly clear that the MSM (MainStream Media) no longer impartially reports the news. Rather, they push the Socialist/Progressive Liberal agenda of the political Left. Nothing can highlight that better than the stark difference in reporting of two massacres within the last ten days. One major problem is that the very lack of coverage by these “trusted sources” [pardon the sarcasm] proves the adage on the difficulty of proving a negative.

  • March 11, 2019: Islamic militants attacked Christians in Inkirimi and Dogonnoma villages in Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA). These incursions killed 52 people and destroyed more than 100 homes. These attacks were just two in a string of them in 2019 that have reportedly cost 100+ lives, including women and children targeted by these troops.
  • March 14, 2019 (date in the US): Reports started appearing of a mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. Early stories indicated a gunman opened fire while 200 people attended weekly services.
  • March 19, 2019: A Google search for “New Zealand mosque attack” returned about 418,000,000 results. Many of those articles were posted within a few hours of the inquiry, some five days after the fact, giving updates on the 50 dead and dozens injured. Sites with numerous posts over that period include CNN, the New York Times and the BBC.
  • March 19, 2019: Searching Google for “slaughter of Christians in Nigeria” returned about 568,000 hits. Doing the math, that means there were almost 800 times the links for the mosque story than the repeated attacks in Nigeria. Most of these results came from places dedicated to Christian or African news. In fact, in the first four pages of returns, there wasn’t a single major news outlet story about the 2019 attacks and only a scant handful on the continuing onslaught dating back to 2016.

It is becoming more and more difficult to ignore the bias against the Christian and Jewish Faiths in the news and political rhetoric. Be it the rush to vilify the students of the Coventry School, the blatant call by a New York Times reporter for the negative stories of Christian school alumni or the anti-Semitic comments of Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN), they all point to one conclusion. “Slippery slopes” are real and America is building up speed on this one.
