Michigan Judge Declines to Sanction Trump (REPORT)

(RightWing.org) – Lawyers for Detroit’s Democrat-run city council tried to persuade a judge to sanction President Trump’s campaign on Thursday – but failed. It seems there are still some judges who can see through the Left’s cheap political stunts.

On December 3, the Trump campaign withdrew an election fraud case in the US District Court for Michigan’s Western District after Wayne County canvassers refused to be rushed into certifying the county’s election results. Instead of breathing a sigh of relief, the Dems decided to score some political points instead. Claiming that the campaign’s court filings contained “impertinent and false language,” they demanded that the judge delete them from the court record and sanction the campaign for making the filings.

However, US Judge Janet T. Neff didn’t feel like playing the Left’s game. Ruling that the case “arises from a national election of great public interest,” she directed that the GOP’s arguments should stay in the record – and refused to sanction the campaign.
