Media Gets Scared After GOP's New AI Ad

( – Four years to the day that President Joe Biden announced he would be seeking to unseat former President Donald Trump, he released a video to proclaim his intent to seek reelection in 2024. Soon there after, the Republican National Committee (RNC) put out an advertisement that theorized what could happen to America if he does indeed win his second term.

Disaster Awaits

The 30-second spot provides some hypothetical answers to the question, as they put it, “[w]hat if the weakest president we’ve ever had were re-elected?” The ad goes on to paint some pictures of the dystopian future where the economy is in shambles, crime is running rampant, and the People’s Republic of China (Communist/PRC) unleashes its military on Taiwan (the Republic of China/ROC).

The result of the ad is a near panic coming from the Liberal media because of the dark and disturbing images of that possible future that show the ROC capital city of Taipei under attack, illegal aliens pouring over an open border, and an MS-13 gang member enjoying a smoke. What has the Leftists up in arms is the realism of the video because all the images were created using an artificial intelligence (AI) program, and they have already begun using their 2022 rallying cry of “Republican misinformation!”

Even though the RNC video had marked that what people were watching as “built entirely with AI imagery,” this hasn’t stopped the near panic from seeping out. In an op-ed published by MSNBC, they first attacked it as “shoddy” and called it a “weak message,” and then complained that “huge variations in Internet literacy [could make it] plausible that significant swabs of the public are vulnerable” to being fooled by them.

Situational Ethics

The piece goes on to tell the world that the sky could soon be falling because this type of technological wizardry “could easily dwarf anything” that happened in the 2016 election in regard to Russia’s social media bots. At the same time, they continue to interfere with attempts to slow any potential dangers that are proposed by the PRC-designed and owned video-sharing service TikTok.

However, it’s not just the data of so many Americans that the Biden administration and other Liberals are willing to let fall victim to their hypocrisy. NBC wrote a cheerful piece about an Instagram account known as the RuPublicans, where the owners use images of high-profile Republicans without their permission and digitally alter them to make them appear as drag queens.

Since the RNC attack ad on Biden using AI technology is groundbreaking and the first known use of it in the battle for the minds of the American public, it is unclear if they would be willing to pass legislation to outlaw its use in political advertising. Based upon some of their extreme hostility toward warnings by billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk about the potential misuse of the programs being built to favor Woke ideology, it would not be unreasonable for one to think this will be another of the Democrat’s do-as-we-say, not-as-we-do moments.
