Ocasio-Cortez’s “Strategy” May Finally Be Turned Against Her
(RightWing.org) – Loudmouth leftist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a.k.a AOC, (D-NY) has a new admirer — but she’s probably not going to be very happy about it. A Republican legislator says he plans to use AOC’s tactics to push a conservative agenda. The socialist firebrand might just have shot herself in the foot.

An article in the June 14 issue of Time magazine outlines a bold new plan by Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to mirror the tactics used by the notorious “Squad” of far-left congresspeople led by AOC. Gaetz says he’s studied the Squad’s methods carefully, and “many of them are admirable.” He highlighted Cori Bush (D-MO) who camped on the Capitol steps and forced the Biden administration to U-turn on ending an eviction moratorium. Gaetz said that while he didn’t agree with Bush’s goals, he praised the effectiveness of her “pretty compelling direct action.”
Gaetz and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) are the core of an emerging “MAGA Squad” that could adapt AOC’s methods to achieving their own policy goals. With the GOP likely to hold a majority in the House after November’s midterms, there’s a lot of potential for a dedicated group of Conservatives to get things done. AOC and her sidekicks have made a name for themselves in a short time — but the methods to their success could easily come back to haunt them.
