(RightWing.org) – As Republican National Committee (RNC) chair, Ronna Romney McDaniel has spearheaded the GOP’s effort to develop and promote the party’s platform and election efforts and coordinate fundraising. Conservative radio host and blogger Erick Erickson recently blasted her for losing every election cycle since she assumed the position in 2017. Then again, her uncle is failed presidential candidate Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT), so it seems failure runs in the family. Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) recently came out against her.
No RNC Chair in the history of the whole party has lasted as long as Ronna McDaniel without seeing at least one winning election season. She took the job in 2017, and the GOP has lost every election cycle since.

On December 7, Zeldin released a statement announcing his decision not to run for RNC chair at this time because McDaniel’s re-election was “pre-baked by design.” However, he also wrote that she shouldn’t run for a fourth term.
Like Erickson, Zeldin pointed out the “disappointing results of every election” during her time in office, including Herschel Walker’s recent loss in Georgia to Sen. Raphael Warnock (R-GA). He explained that as a result, the GOP base is “frustrated, deflated, and defeated,” adding that grassroots Republicans are tired of losing.
RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel should not run for a 4th term.
I won’t be running for RNC Chair at this time with McDaniel’s reelection pre-baked by design, but that doesn’t mean she should even be running again.
It’s time the GOP elects new leadership!
It’s time for fresh blood!

Zeldin concluded his statement, writing that McDaniel’s “greatest service” to the GOP would be to heed the will of the base and step aside and make room for a new RNC head.
As Rep. Zeldin and other Conservatives have explained, it’s time for Republicans to ramp up their fundraising efforts, clearly state their positions on the issues, and better educate the public about the terrible nature of the policies promoted by President Joe Biden and Democrats.
