(RightWing.org) – North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un laid down his first challenge to Joe Biden on Monday, adding even more titles to his grandiose resume – and threatening to ramp up his regime’s nuclear capability.
North Korean state media announced Monday that Kim Jong Un, who already holds the title Party Chairman of the Worker’s Party, was made the party’s General Secretary on January 10. The change doesn’t make any actual difference to his powers, but it’s an important symbol, elevating Kim to the same rank his father and grandfather held.

In an unusual move for the secretive communist state, Kim announced last week that the latest five-year economic plan had failed, but he promised a new plan that would deliver more consumer goods – and more weapons. Calling the US “our foremost principal enemy,” Kim listed a range of new nuclear systems he says are under development and threatened even more tension unless the US reconsiders its “hostile policy.” It looks like, with President Trump’s first term ending in less than a week, Pyongyang is willing to risk flexing its muscles again.
