(RightWing.org) – The political activities of the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have been a matter of public record for months. Virginia “Ginni” Thomas is a long-standing political activist and supporter of former President Donald Trump and his “Make America Great Again” agenda. Nevertheless, radical leftist Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) waited until March 24 to step out from the shadows and express any concern about Ginni Thomas’ activities.
On Thursday, The Washington Post (WaPo) published an exposé revealing Ginni Thomas’ efforts to support the Trump White House and its questions on the integrity of the 2020 presidential election. The article included 29 texts between Thomas and then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows discussing potential strategies to dispute the election results.
Omar took to her Twitter account a few hours after WaPo posted the article and called for Justice Thomas’ impeachment. Omar posted her demand in response to an earlier tweet by progressive commentator and actor Brian Tyler Cohen.

Cohen pointed out Thomas was the lone vote against a mid-January 2022 SCOTUS decision denying Trump’s request to block the release of White House records to the January 6 House Select Committee. Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote the court’s opinion noting that Justice Thomas would have granted the requested writ of certiorari for a hearing. It would appear that Thomas was the only justice willing to give Trump a fair hearing on the merits of his case.
That’s the position Thomas took in February 2021 in a writ regarding the appointment of electors from the 2020 presidential campaign in Pennsylvania. He wrote a brief dissent stating, “There is no dispute that the claim is sufficiently meritorious to warrant review.”
