Ilhan Could Go Unchallenged

( – Democrats can only win in districts where they have an arbitrary advantage in demographics. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) won her 2018 election by receiving 78% of the total votes. Unfortunately, she may win by a landslide again in 2020 with the way that things are panning out.

Under her campaign slogan of “Send her back to Congress!,” Omar is gaining an immense amount of support for her re-election. Larry Jacobs, a political scientist at the University of Minnesota, believes that her opponents don’t even have a shot. In his words:

“This is one of the most progressive-liberal districts in the country and Rep. Omar is one of the most progressive-liberal members of Congress. She’s a fit for the district even if Democrats around the country are uncomfortable with her positions and her style.”

Omar’s campaign raised more than $2.5 million in Q3 of 2019 with $1.56 million banked. The Center for Responsive Politics estimates that her fundraising was triple that of the average incumbent.

While it may seem that her district has no shot at swinging Republican, some organizations aren’t giving up. Judicial Watch, a conservative educational entity, has filed a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics against her for potentially violating the law.

It’s sad to see Americans fall for such a radical leftist who is only bent on tearing the nation apart.
