Hunter Biden FIRM Discovery – “Violation” Mystery Uncovered!
(RightWing.org) – For nearly five years, Republicans expressed deep concerns and reservations that former President Donald Trump and those around him were treated differently by law enforcement and prosecutors than Democrats. Now, some believe they have proof that justice is not equal under the law when it comes to Democrats and Republicans.
In 2020, Republican senators on two senate committees wrote an 87-page report detailing how, during the Barack Obama-Joe Biden administration, Hunter Biden created a complex problem for US officials over his service on a corrupt Ukrainian energy company’s board.
The report concluded that Burisma company officials believed the younger Biden’s powerful last name was helpful to it. In addition, Burisma hired a Washington, DC, consultancy firm. In June 2021, POLITICO reported that Blue Star Strategies was under investigation for failing to file the proper paperwork for working with a foreign company. On Tuesday, May 17, the Department of Justice (DOJ) concluded its work. Prosecutors said they found no wrongdoing by the consulting firm. Yet, Blue Star Strategies did the same thing that two former Trump confidants did, and they got charged with crimes and sent to jail.
So, what gives?
Is Justice Blind If a Dem Is Behind an Illegal Act?
Blue Star Strategies is a bipartisan public affairs firm that works with corporations and foreign governments; that’s why what happened is so puzzling. When the firm took on Burisma as a client in November 2015, it should have known how to comply with US reporting laws. Yet, officials failed to file the required documents under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
Blue Star Strategies CEO Karen Tramontano has maintained that the firm did not coordinate activities with Hunter Biden, who served on Burisma’s board when Blue Star failed to file the required documents. The company said it provided services to Burisma.
Tramontano’s attorney said the CEO and company fully cooperated with the DOJ investigation, which determined there was no wrongdoing by the company.
Still, many conservatives may question the decision by the DOJ after it got convictions against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and Trump administration official Gen. Micheal Flynn (Ret – US Army).
Blue Star Strategies Skirts Law While Trump Confidants Thrown in Jail
On Thursday, The Gateway Pundit reported on the inconsistent application of the law by the Justice Department. It noted that the DOJ obtained an indictment against Gen. Flynn on a FARA violation for the same reason it investigated Blue Star Strategies. Conservatives believe it was a major injustice to one of America’s leading generals who backed and supported Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and served briefly as Trump’s National Security Advisor before the DOJ indictments.
The DOJ also prosecuted Paul Manafort and a jury convicted him for failing to file FARA reports for his previous work with the Podesta brothers (John Podesta ran Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign) in Ukraine. While the DOJ went after Manafort, they ignored the Podestas for not filing FARA reports.
The Gateway Pundit said that FARA prosecutions are rare. Perhaps the DOJ came to a proper conclusion regarding Blue Star Strategies? If so, did they get it wrong with Flynn and Manafort? Was justice really blind?
