(RightWing.org) – There is very little that Liberals and Democrats will not do to somehow keep former President Donald Trump from becoming the Republican candidate for president in 2024. Possibly to that end, his 2016 opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is resurrecting a story that has a kernel of truth at its center but generally seems to be an attempt to remind the world of how she was robbed of her chance to become the first woman to occupy the Oval Office.

Clinton sat down for an interview on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki” (President Joe Biden’s former press secretary), to remind everyone of the potential trickery of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the 2024 election. Psaki tossed the former first lady a softball question, making sure to remind her viewers that it was something she had “experienced firsthand.”
That is not to say Russians did not try to influence the outcome of elections in 2016 from local ballots all the way through Clinton/Trump by using bots on social media and other cyber attacks, because they did. However, by linking it to the 2024 election cycle and using phrases like “a kind of creeping fascism,” which is a major talking point used by the Leftists against Trump, she made her main point clear, “Never [again]-Trump.”
The one-time senator for New York said she has no doubt that Putin interfered in the 2016 contest because “he didn’t think that he wanted me in the White House” while he was looking to expand his empire, implying that he would fear her more than Trump. Of course, this is the same woman who paid for “evidence” that Trump and his team colluded with the Russians to essentially steal the 2016 election.
What became known as the Steele Dossier, which has since been debunked as a pack of lies and unsubstantiated innuendo, was put together by ex-British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) operative Christopher Steele. This information was passed on to the FBI and used by agents in Operation Crossfire Hurricane, an op many say was a politically motivated attack on the Trump campaign.
Special Counsel John Durham’s team spent years “[conducting] more than 480 interviews; obtained and reviewed more than one million documents consisting of more than six million pages,” executed search warrants and subpoenas, and made a request to a foreign government for information.
The final report issued in May 2023 says that the information used by the FBI to open the investigation “was seriously flawed,” and listed three specific problems with “some of those most directly involved” in Crossfire Hurricane, claiming they had:
- Expressed their open disdain for Trump
- Asked about when they would open an investigation on Trump
- Asserted that they would prevent Trump from becoming president
Finally, the report says that the FBI’s failure to truly examine information in their possession “that ran counter to the narrative of a Trump/Russia collusive relationship… is extremely troublesome.” Overall, it puts to rest that particular collusion narrative, but one could legitimately wonder if it describes a plot by Clinton and/or other liberal members of the administrative state to influence the outcome of the 2024 election.
