(RightWing.org) – President Donald Trump’s May 18 roundtable conference focused primarily on foodservice executives giving status updates on their industry. Experts spoke about how they’re managing restaurants in the midst of COVID-19 and some of their struggles. Although lengthy, it’s insightful and worth a listen (link below).
However, the restaurant industry wasn’t the big story taken from this conference. Trump announced that he had been taking hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) for a little over a week to keep him safe from the coronavirus. Almost immediately, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) chimed in, calling the president “morbidly obese.”

If Liberals want to resort to body shaming and name-calling because Trump exercised his freedom to take a viable medicine that has been used to treat COVID-19, then let them. Our unique freedom gives each and every one of us, including President Trump, the choice to take a medicine legally prescribed by his doctor. Vice President Mike Pence has chosen not to take HCQ — which is his absolute right, too.
Instead of pointing fingers and calling names, Liberals should be grateful for the technological advances and freedoms our president protects.
