Handguns Given as Christmas Bonuses in Wisconsin

Here’s a feel-good story for you just before the holiday season. A company in Wisconsin is helping their employees enjoy their Second Amendment rights. Instead of Christmas bonuses, the employees of this special family-owned glass-making business all received handguns.

Highlights

• BenShot, a small father-and-son business operating out of Hortonville, Wisconsin, is small and tight-knit. They sell glassware products made from bullet-proof glass — usually cups, mugs, decanters, and other decor items.
• With a total of just 16 full-time employees, they are far from the nation’s biggest corporation. But they are the top-ranked handicraft seller on Amazon within their niche, which makes them pretty darn successful.
• And that small size? Well, it’s exactly what let owner Ben Wolfgram choose and hand out bonuses this year that had a bit more thought behind them than just cold, hard cash. Wolfram gifted every employee on the team with a brand-new handgun for self-defense.
• “I want to make sure all (of our) employees are safe and happy,” Wolfgram explained. “…a handgun was the perfect gift.” And what better gift to give in a crazy world than the gift of proper self defense? You just never know — they may have preemptively saved a life.
