(RightWing.org) – Google continues playing games when it comes to needless, mindless, politically skewed censorship. It’s not enough that it banned former President Donald Trump while he was still in office. Nope, not good enough. It appears hellbent on achieving global dominance.
On July 22, reports show that Google site YouTube deleted a total of 15 videos posted by Brazil’s conservative President Jair Bolsonaro’s channel. Do you see a pattern here?
His alleged infraction? YouTube accused Bolsonaro of posting misinformation regarding COVID-19. One removed video included information regarding the use of hydroxychloroquine as a viable treatment for the coronavirus. Anyone paying attention might remember Trump used it as part of his successful treatment plan when he contracted the COVID-19 virus last year.
Another removed video contained footage of Brazil’s former health minister, Eduardo Pazuello, discussing the coronavirus and comparing it to AIDS, another deadly virus that attacks the body’s ability to fight back against disease and infection.
Pazuello discussed the fact that the world would move past COVID-19 eventually just like it did HIV, the virus triggering the onset of AIDS. But, as he pointed out, the world learned to live with HIV, and it will learn to treat the coronavirus. “Life goes on,” he concluded.
Fortunately, there’s talk within Congress and the Biden administration of modifying Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act so authorities can start holding big tech companies responsible for their biased conduct. And it can’t happen soon enough.
