(RightWing.org) – Over a thousand former Department of Justice employees, many of them ex-prosecutors, have signed an open letter calling for the resignation of Attorney General William Barr. The protest follows Barr’s intervention in the show trial of former Trump adviser Roger Stone, who was being threatened with an astonishing nine years in jail for failing to be sufficiently cooperative with the Mueller inquiry into fake Russia collusion allegations.
More than 1,100 former U.S. federal prosecutors and Justice Department officials called on Attorney General William Barr to step down after he intervened last week to lower the Justice Department’s sentencing recommendation for Roger Stone https://t.co/7Vo8vbdCHH

The letter accuses Barr and President Trump of “political interference” and claims this undermines the principle of equal justice under the law. It seems the signatories don’t feel this principle is undermined by the hysterical pursuit of anyone who supports the president. Go figure?
