Focusing on Keeping Things “Made in America”

Focusing on Keeping Things

( – Donald Trump campaigned in 2016 on the promise of making America great again, and as president, he has heavily promoted the concept of “America First.”

You might be asking yourself how you can help prioritize America over foreign interests. The answer is simple and perhaps obvious. All you have to do is purchase items made in America whenever possible. This benefits the entire country, including you.

First of all, there isn’t a country in the world that puts out better quality products than the United States. That fact is one of the reasons so many countries want to trade with the US.

Additionally, the USA enforces stringent labor standards, ensuring workers only perform their tasks in a safe environment at fair wages. By purchasing imports, you could be footing the bill for child labor, the exploitation of women, and worse.

Buying products made in America helps the country lower its annual budget deficits. Purchasing domestically produced products helps support businesses and factories and helps pay the salaries of workers. Part of every dollar you spend ends up supporting the country’s financial needs through sales tax and companies and employees paying taxes on their earnings.

Similarly, buying products made in America helps level out trade deficits. The more money America keeps in circulation within its own borders, the better it is for all of us.
