Eric Holder Sounds Alarm for Democrats
(RightWing.org) – Desperate Democrats are panicking at the thought of losing political power. Former Attorney General Eric Holder is the latest to share his hysterical thoughts, warning that the GOP threatens American democracy. Unfortunately for him, he’s basically arguing with the Constitution.
Eric Holder Pushes the Panic Button: We Could 'Lose Our Democracy' to 'Illiberal Forces' in the GOP

Talking to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on October 11, Holder — who famously became the first United States attorney general to be held in contempt of Congress over the 2020 Fast and Furious gun scandal — claimed that a new Supreme Court case could mean “we lose our democracy.” The case, Moore v. Harper, covers the right of state legislators to regulate federal elections.
The Biden administration wants to tighten federal control of elections and has run a vicious campaign against state attempts to pass election integrity laws. Moore v. Harper was triggered by a redistricting issue in North Carolina, where the state’s Supreme Court blocked new maps drawn up by legislators, but it’s now become a crucial decision point that could influence future elections.
Holder argues that the case is based on a “fringe, fringe theory” about the power of independent state legislatures. Republicans counter that the Elections Clause in Article One of the Constitution clearly states that “The times, places and manner of holding elections for senators and representatives, shall be prescribed in each state by the legislature thereof.” The Constitution doesn’t give courts or the federal government any role in the process, but Democrats want to change that.
Now, Holder fears that the Supreme Court will uphold the Constitution, and he sees that as a threat.
