(RightWing.org) – Tech genius Elon Musk, one of California’s most innovative people, has quit the state. He’s had several disputes with California officials this year, and now, it looks like he’s had enough.
In a Tuesday, December 8 interview with the Wall Street Journal, Musk said he relocated to Texas, where he’s already been spending time at a SpaceX launch center. While many of his businesses are still headquartered in California, he’s building a new Tesla factory in Austin, TX – another sign of his move away from the Golden State.
After sparring with officials in California this year, Elon Musk has moved himself to Texas, declaring that the San Francisco Bay Area has “too much influence in the world” https://t.co/lUSmQ25LEt

Musk’s dispute with California began this Spring when Governor Gavin Newsom (D) shut down Tesla’s factories under COVID lockdown rules. At the time, Newsom told CNBC he wasn’t worried about Musk leaving because “We may not be the cheapest place to do business, but we are the best place to do business.”
It seems that Musk, who told the WSJ California has become complacent and Silicon Valley “has too much influence on the world,” disagrees.
