DOJ Has Top Conservatives on Its List of Targets

DOJ Reportedly Has a New Target LIST – Guess Who’s On It

( – In 2020, then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden swore to voters he would not weaponize the Department of Justice (DOJ) to go after his political opponents. He said he would not direct the law enforcement agency on “who to prosecute, what to prosecute, how to prosecute.” In 2021, legal experts blasted Biden for not keeping his promise as the DOJ inserted itself into numerous issues such as voting rights or abortion laws in states.

Still, many question how impartial the Justice Department has been over the last five years. It started with Crossfire Operation in 2016 and culminated in two years and tens of millions of dollars investigating President Donald Trump and the Russian collusion story. Since then, the targeting of the former president has continued. The most recent example was the August 8 raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Still, the ex-commander-in-chief isn’t alone. There are several top conservatives the DOJ has targeted.

Trump Warned About the Deep State

During the 2016 presidential campaign, then-candidate Trump exposed that the federal bureaucracy ran the government, not elected officials. He said, “The Swamp” is largely led by allies of the Democratic Party. As voters pondered his statement, it appears the bureaucracy fought back.

In January 2017, then-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated the intelligence community had numerous ways to enact revenge on the newly inaugurated president. It seems it wasn’t one agency, though in particular, the DOJ has targeted not just Trump but also Conservatives who supported him.

Many Conservatives are familiar with the officials targeting 2016 campaign workers Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, and Gen. (Ret.) Michael Flynn. There’s lots more where that came from.

Let’s take a quick look at five of them which are more recent.

Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA)

Perry is the chairman of the influential House Freedom Caucus and a staunch supporter of Donald Trump. In early August, the FBI visited him on vacation with his family. Three agents approached him with a search warrant for the recovery of his personal mobile phone. The encounter occurred one day after the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

Steve Bannon

A former White House adviser to the president, the partisan January 6 House Select Committee forwarded a criminal referral to the DOJ after the media host said he was cooperating with the group. In July, a grand jury indicted Bannon on contempt charges for failing to comply with subpoenas. His legal team said the one-time advisor was negotiating with the commission when the government stepped in.

Peter Navarro

A former White House trade official, the FBI publicly arrested Navarro at Reagan National Airport in June. The DOJ accused him of contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena by the January 6 committee.

Jeffrey Clark

In June, the FBI conducted an early morning raid of the ex-assistant attorney general’s home in Virginia. A video showed agents forced Clark outside dressed in only a shirt and underwear, and they refused to allow him to put on pants. The search occurred one day ahead of a January 6 committee hearing looking into Clark’s support of Trump’s 2020 presidential election claims and challenge of the election. Agents seized numerous electronic devices from his home.

James O’Keefe

O’Keefe is the founder of the conservative site Project Veritas. For nearly a year, the government targeted the company secretly. It seized and reviewed emails, other electronic communications, and 200,000 files through search warrants. The DOJ stated probable cause that Project Veritas stole Joe Biden’s daughter’s diary. Yet, O’Keefe said someone gave him the journal. The media mogul contacted the DOJ when he discovered who it belonged to. In November 2021, the FBI raided his home and seized electronic devices. During the probe, they handcuffed and forced him to stand in the apartment building hallway in his underwear.

So, ask yourself, is political bias at the core of the list of targets? Or is it just a coincidence Hillary Clinton and other Democrats seem to get a pass?
