DOJ EXPOSES Fake CBS Report
(RightWing.org) – Controversy continues to surround the FBI’s August 8 raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. Complicating matters, mainstream media outlets and left-wing pundits have unleashed a firehose of falsehoods surrounding the incident. The disinformation recently reached the point where a national network anchor published fake news about the search on her Twitter account.
Monday afternoon, August 15, Trump posted a statement on Truth Social accusing the FBI of stealing three of his passports while searching his Florida residence. Later that evening, “CBS Evening News” anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell posted a tweet claiming the FBI didn’t have the former president’s passports.
This is how Fake News works, folks. Biden admin actively feeds half truths & lies that the media willingly amplifies—advancing a partisan narrative to attack Trump.@NorahODonnell, did your “source” read you this email? Did you bother asking if they indeed seized the passports? https://t.co/DlzkagN0ie pic.twitter.com/VwCU7DPCvg

Trump communications director Taylor Budowich didn’t waste any time calling out O’Donnell on Twitter. He posted a screenshot of an email from Jay Bratt, a member of the DOJ’s National Security Division (NSD), confirming that FBI agents HAD, in fact, seized Trump’s passports. The message, also dated August 15, also advised that the former president’s representatives could retrieve the travel documents from the agency’s Washington Field Office at 2 p.m. that same day.
Budowich also didn’t hold back when expressing his contempt for the mainstream media’s narrative regarding Trump. “This is how Fake News works,” he tweeted. Continuing, he warned that news organizations “willingly” amplify “half-truths and lies” put out by the White House.
What do you think about the Justice Department confirming the truth of Trump’s statement? Is this another case of the MSM dishing out fake news and false narratives?
