Dems Sandbag Crucial Legislation

Dems Sandbag Crucial Legislation

(RightWing.org) – Instead of coming together at a time when the average American is counting on them, Congressional Democrats sandbagged another important piece of legislation. The Senate Republicans drafted another stimulus bill over the weekend designed to help both employees and employers. Democrats felt the bill did too much for corporations, so they stopped it in its tracks.

A vote of 47-47 resulted from a combination of Democrats refusing to come together with Republicans and some Dems skipping out on the vote.

For example, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) decided to stay home and run a digital conference with “the Squad” instead of voting on this $1.8 trillion stimulus bill. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) argued with multiple Senate Republicans over leftist talking points, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) drafted her own legislation in the House rather than cooperate with Republicans.

TEST

Schumer and others reportedly will enter discussions with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to resolve this stalemate. This continues to prove that Democrats care more about their own agenda rather than helping the American people.
