House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been sitting on the fence for weeks about whether or not to support the latest attempt to impeach President Trump. Now she’s finally made a decision — and, of course, it’s the wrong one.
Talking to CBS News’s 60 Minutes on Sunday, Pelosi said that although she’d been reluctant to push ahead with impeachment before, she now thought the time was right to go for it. Denying that she’d changed her mind under pressure from the far-left of her party, Pelosi insisted, “I always said we will follow the facts where they take us, and when we see them, we will be ready. And, we are ready.”
Democrats claim that Trump tried to pressure Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky into launching a corruption investigation against Joe Biden’s son Hunter (a previous investigation was shut down by Ukraine’s chief prosecutor while Biden was vice president). However, Zelensky has told journalists “no-one can pressure me,” and denies feeling any coercion from President Trump.
Adam Schiff (D-CA), the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, says he’s reached a deal to let a “whistleblower” testify about the content of Trump’s call with Zelensky — content that’s already been released to the public. Meanwhile, Trump is furious that Schiff read out a fictionalized “version” of the conversation in the House last week.
His lies were made in perhaps the most blatant and sinister manner ever seen in the great Chamber. He wrote down and read terrible things, then said it was from the mouth of the President of the United States. I want Schiff questioned at the highest level for Fraud & Treason…..

Stay tuned, the drama is sure to continue.
