(RightWing.org) – President Donald Trump has promised a US-Mexico wall since before he was elected. Democrats keep trying to get in his way by sandbagging Trump’s efforts at every turn. Still, there’s a great deal done so far as reported by a US Border Patrol chief.

Restricting border travel and constructing the border wall would help to reduce more potentially infected people from entering the country. That’s not stopping Democrats from building another wall in front of the president as he attempts to build the barrier amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. Congressional Democrats banded together to send a sternly-worded letter sharing their thoughts about wall construction at this time.
The letter, spearheaded by Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) and Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) urged Trump officials to “immediately” cease construction on the wall. It contains 66 signatures from both chambers of Congress and none of them believe that building the wall right now is considered “essential.” If securing borders to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections in our country isn’t essential, then Democrats better provide a reasonable explanation of what they think fits that definition.
